My job-hunting lasted from May 2021(junior year) to September 2022 (senior year), a little longer than most students because it was overlapped with study abroad period. My vision for the future and axis of job-hunting activities changed little by little as I moved to study abroad in Greece. At first, I wanted to work in a diverse and international environment just like what GLAP has, so I actively participated in summer internships with a goal of working at a foreign-affiliated company. However, after going through many internships and studying abroad, I started to ask myself what I really want to do and what kind of people I want to be around with. The answer was "an environment that accepts me as I am and watches over my growth."GLAP values the opinions of everyone. Classes are focused on presentations and group discussions in small groups. Through studying in GLAP, I realized the importance of expressing my own opinion while accepting and respecting the opinions of others. There were times when we had conflicting opinions, but because there is a small group of people, we were able to deeply understand each other's personalities and thoughts through communication and spend every day together, and eventually, we were able to discuss and solve problems. The most important thing I learned at GLAP is " two-way communication is the key to growth". When I participate d in the internship competition of my prospective company, I was able to utilize the discussion skills cultivated at GLAP and led my team from the last place to second place in the end. The interviewer recognized my ability to bring out the strengths of others, and I was able to receive a job offer. In GLAP, you grow while getting stimulations from students who continue to challenge themselves in different fields with various experiences and backgrounds. Regardless of grade, GLAP students respect and support each other to spend their four years together. The bond among us can be built only because there is a small number of people. I value such connection and want to continuously grow together as a member of society.
